About

Gothic Girl Here is an independent publication devoted to all things Gothic. Co-created by writer JJ Mokrzewski and visual artist Lara Mokrzewski, it examines the world through a Gothic lens, exploring the stories, art, technologies, and cultural moments that haunt our collective imagination.

Here you'll find essays, comics, reviews, original artwork, and the occasional descent into whatever dark and dubious rabbit hole we've wedged ourselves into. For us, the Gothic isn’t just a genre or an aesthetic, but a way of understanding the world around us. While monsters evolve and new hauntings take root in unexpected places, the anxieties of our past have always informed the uncertainties of our future.

Most of all, Gothic Girl Here is a space for those who dare to see the world a little differently. If you find beauty in the strange and uncanny, and you're up for a bit of dark humour, this is the place for you.

Welcome to the Manor.
